Our BSc Business Degree is a three year programme studied on a full-time basis.
Students are required to obtain BCC at A level or equivalent (260 UCAS points). Students must also have achieved a grade C or higher in GCSE mathematics. If you have less than the equivalent of 260 UCAS points you are still welcome to apply via our assessed entry route. Further information about entry requirements is available.
£6,000 for UK & EU Students and £10,500 for International Students. This price is applicable for 2012 years of entry.

Courses for this BSc Business Degree start every year in October. KBS is not currently part of the UCAS System, and as a result you can make an application to us at any time of year for a fee of £100. We encourage students to apply early, and a step by step guide to applying is available online.
BSc (Hons) Business Course Structure and Content
Business Course Structure:
Each year you will sit exams for four modules. This normally comprises a mix of core and non-core modules. Some half modules are available allowing a broader range of subjects to be studied. Optional modules are indicative and do not represent the full range of subjects on offer. Whether a module is run depends on student demand and it is not practice to run a module for less than 10 students. |

Teaching
For each module of study you will attend a weekly one-hour lecture that will teach you the core concepts of the subject. These are then typically supported by a two hour seminar each week to consolidate and apply the learning achieved in lectures. This means that you can expect to receive between 12-20 hours a week of contact time per week depending on the modules taken.
In addition to the lecture and seminar programme, you will receive regular skills-based and exam question focus support sessions to help you study effectively and to prepare for forthcoming exams. You will also receive regular academic assessment to monitor your progress and identify problems early on, so the academic team can tackle them. In the latter half of the second semester each year, you will receive intensive revision courses to help you prepare for the exams ahead.
Assessment
Modules on the University of London International Programmes are assessed using written exams. To this end Kaplan Business School has a three pronged approach to student exam preparation. Regular use is made of exam standard assessment and past exam questions during tuition, with questions being used both in seminars and as extension exercises outside formal tuition. As early as possible students will be exposed to real questions to ensure that they are fully familiar with both the style of assessment and the standard they have to reach. Work is individually marked and fed back to students. If needed one-to-one supervision is available to help students improve performance in particular topics or to develop specific skills.
Students receive two mock exams – one in early January to act as a marker so students and staff can assess progress made so far and the second to check final preparation for the exam. Both mocks will be of exam standard and differ only in coverage – the January mock has narrower scope reflecting incomplete coverage of the module syllabus at that point in the semester. Again students receive individual feedback on their performance, and where necessary lecturers will work with students to develop individual learning plans to address weakness highlighted in the mocks.
Students receive an intensive revision course at the end of the spring semester. This serves a dual purpose as it both recaps key syllabus concepts and areas, together with focussing on how to apply learning and knowledge to produce effective exam answers. This is the final stage of the course and it presents a crucial phase in the preparation of students for the rigours of the exam. Although these are intensive courses, students benefit enormously with knowledge, understanding and skills peaking just in time for the summer exams.
