The best way to explore the UK is by coach or train, and it can be cheaper than you might expect. Services such as Greyhound, Megabus and National Express provide cheap coach travel across the UK. If you're lucky, you can travel from London as far as Edinburgh for under £10! Trains can be equally as cheap as long as you book far in advance, and if you plan to travel regularly, it's worth buying a railcard to get discounted tickets.
London is the busiest transport hub in Europe, with around 1,000 flights leaving Heathrow everyday, not to mention the other London airports like Gatwick and Stansted! Flights to Europe can cost as little as a few pounds if you are happy to book with budget airlines, and don't mind flying at obscure times.
