Degree Awarding Universities

Kaplan Business School prepares students for degrees awarded by our partner university. The academic standard and content of these degrees is not set by Kaplan, but by the University's own academic teams. The degree, and the certificate you receive is from the awarding university itself and not Kaplan Business School.

University of London

If you are studying towards a University of London degree you will be registered as both a Kaplan student and a University of London student.

Students studying within our Faculty of Business will study degree courses that have received academic direction from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) whilst students within our Faculty of Law receive study degree course with academic direction from the Laws Consortium.  This means that the academic content, core materials and assessment of the programme is the responsibility of a University of London College.

Your degree certificate will be issued by the University of London and will include the name of the lead college providing the academic direction (for example; LSE or the Laws Consortium) on the degree parchment. It also provides further information about the role of the Lead College and method of study. It explains that there is no difference between the standards of University of London awards or studying face-to-face at a Laws Consortium college or the LSE.
