About Kaplan Business School
Kaplan Business School (KBS) is a division of Kaplan UK. At KBS we specialise in providing students with an academic and professional base upon which they can build a successful career in their chosen field.
We are a private college and focus solely on professional subjects such as accounting, finance, business and law. Our excellent links to industry and the expertise of our sister companies within Kaplan UK allow us to offer an unparalleled level of tuition and support to students looking for opportunities in professional areas.
Our campus provides a professionally focused environment that enables students to establish themselves as a young professional. Both part-time and full-time courses are available, so your studies can fit in with your chosen lifestyle.
Academic Underpinnings
All of the tuition programmes offered by Kaplan Business School (KBS) are designed to prepare students to sit the exams for degree courses offered by the University of London International Programmes.
These degree courses are developed by the constituent colleges of the University of London. This means that students at Kaplan Business School are studying degrees developed by the London School of Economics (LSE) or Laws Consortium. This development includes Input in to the degree structure, module content, course materials and importantly, the assessment.
As the University of London International Programmes itself notes on its website (November 2010) ‘The University of London degree awarded to a student who studied with the University of London International Programmes is of the same standard as a University of London degree awarded to students who study on campus of a University of London College’.
The University of London International Programmes is not, therefore, a soft or second class option. More it is an opportunity for students to engage in flexible and alternative study routes to achieving academic excellence. Given the academic calibre of the colleges that make up the University of London, this means that students attending KBS for tuition are expected to reach a high academic standard and the level of tuition and resource provision reflects this, from provision of a personal laptop, through to generous contact hours and small class sizes.
